HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  August 30, 2023 -The city of Huntsville, an office park developer and the Department of the Army entered an agreement more than 10 years ago through an enhanced use lease on land at Redstone Arsenal to create a mixed-use office park.

The 468-acre Redstone Gateway – just outside Gate 9 — now has about 2.3 million square feet of space either built or under construction, according to James Lomax, the director of asset management and leasing for Corporate Office Properties Trust. A joint venture between Columbia, Maryland-based COPT and Montgomery-based Jim Wilson & Associates, LW Redstone LLC, is developing and managing the project.

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  August 8, 2023 – Robins & Morton has finished construction of Redstone Gateway 8100 in Huntsville.

The five-story, 125,000-square-foot office building, developed by Corporate Office Properties Trust, is located just outside Gate 9 at Redstone Arsenal.

“The addition of Building 8100 to the Redstone Gateway development brings another 125,000 square feet of Class A leasable square footage immediately adjacent to Redstone Arsenal and the Huntsville community,” said Stephen Flournoy, project director for Robins & Morton.

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  July 30, 2023 – Thirteen years ago, the city of Huntsville agreed to invest $76 million in an idea.

Thirteen years later, that investment built the infrastructure for a mixed-use office park that is Redstone Gateway with more than 2 million square feet of occupied space and room for that square footage to more than double.

With the ratification by the city council Thursday, the city of Huntsville has completed its obligated work at Redstone Gateway. The work at the development, however, is far from over.

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  July 11, 2023 -A new headquarters battle is playing out in Washington politics that puts Huntsville, Alabama squarely in the middle.

This is not in relation to the fight to relocate Space Command’s temporary headquarters. This is the fight of naming Redstone Arsenal as the FBI Headquarters.

Currently, the FBI considers Huntsville as its second headquarters or HQ2. The agency is searching for a new permanent home and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan is mandating that the FBI look at Huntsville to move up to the number one spot.
