HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  July 11, 2023 -A new headquarters battle is playing out in Washington politics that puts Huntsville, Alabama squarely in the middle.

This is not in relation to the fight to relocate Space Command’s temporary headquarters. This is the fight of naming Redstone Arsenal as the FBI Headquarters.

Currently, the FBI considers Huntsville as its second headquarters or HQ2. The agency is searching for a new permanent home and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan is mandating that the FBI look at Huntsville to move up to the number one spot.

March 12, 2023 – James Winfrey Wilson III, an Alabama business titan, philanthropist, civic leader, beloved husband, adored father, grandfather and friend, died in his home after a brief illness on March 11 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was 59.

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  March 1, 2023 – A recently formed defense and government contractor in Huntsville is relocating to the front door of Redstone Arsenal.

Axient is leasing about 30,000 square feet at Redstone Gateway, developer Corporate Office Properties Trust announced Wednesday. Axient formed in 2021 following the mergers of Huntsville companies QuantiTech and Dynamic Concepts as well as Millennium Engineering and Integration of Virginia and Systems Engineering Group of Maryland.
