HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  January 17, 2024 – The Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville is Redstone Arsenal’s latest tenant, making its new home in the secure area of Redstone Gateway, the 468-acre mixed-use development adjacent to Gate 9.

The three-story, 205,000-square-foot building 300 is the “Corps of Engineers newest and most capable facility to date,” the center’s Commander Col. Sebastien Joly said Jan. 9 at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the building’s warehouse.

“We’re absolutely excited to become full members of Team Redstone here on the Arsenal,” Joly, who assumed command of the center in July 2021, said. “This facility allows us to consolidate 16 different leases into one, finally all co-located and meeting all force protection requirements and safety requirements for the very first time.”

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  January 17, 2024 – Frontier Technology is expanding its cyber operations facilities in Huntsville with the construction of a Huntsville Analysis and Cyber Security Center.

Dayton, Ohio-based FTI is a provider of deep data expertise and mission-tailored services and solutions to the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.

The expansion will add 25,000 square feet of secure facility space operating at all classification levels to complement the company’s office in Huntsville’s Redstone Gateway, the company said in a news release.

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  January 10, 2024 – Hundreds of employees, former employees, friends, family and distinguished visitors filled warehouse at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center’s new facility at Redstone Gateway for a ceremony officially opening the doors of Huntsville Center on Redstone Arsenal.

In his opening remarks, Col. Sebastien Joly said he was “probably the happiest and proudest commander in the United State Army.”

“Welcome to the new home of the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville on Redstone Arsenal,” Joly said before an eruption of whoops, cheers and applause from the crowd.

MONTGOMERY, AL  |  November 27, 2023 – Thanksgiving and the annual company luncheon for Jim Wilson & Associates provides the opportunity each year to recognize long tenured employees. Jim Wilson, Jr., the company’s founder, began the tradition in the mid 1980’s. Since then, the company makes a special recognition for each employee’s ten year celebration with JWA and each subsequent five years. In 2023, JWA recognized Heather King (10 years), Whitney Latham (15 years), and Ron Rhodes (20 Years). These employees joined others in the company with length of service awards.

TUSCALOOSA, AL  |  November 3, 2023 – Today, the Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama honored James “Jim” Winfrey Wilson III for his extraordinary service to the Board of Trustees, the University of Alabama System, and the State of Alabama. The Board of Trustees presented Jim’s daughter, Wesley Clingman, and brother, Will Wilson, with a copy of the below resolution as well as announcing that a plaque honoring Jim will be installed at the southern entrance of Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The 150-room Fairfield by Marriott plans to open tomorrow, November 2, 2023, with an elevated design that provides guests with a feeling of warmth and calm while traveling. Located at 1700 Rideout Road, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Redstone Gateway will operate as a Marriott franchise, managed by Yedla Management Company.  

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  October 18, 2023 – A primary care clinic is expected to be part of Redstone Gateway, the mixed-use development outside Gate 9, by next summer.

Huntsville Hospital Health System and COPT Defense Properties have announced that they will begin work later this year on a comprehensive primary care clinic at Redstone Gateway. According to a release, Huntsville Hospital’s Physician Care-Redstone is expected to open in the summer of 2024.

“Providing a comprehensive and convenient clinic at Redstone Gateway is one of the key elements in helping address the primary care shortage in our community,” Josh Hewiett, senior vice president of physician services for the health system, said in the release. “No area of north Alabama is growing faster than Redstone Arsenal and Huntsville Hospital is proud to support the Army, NASA, FBI, and everyone at Team Redstone.”
