MACON, GA  |  March 5, 2019 – JWA Ventures, a division of Jim Wilson & Associates (JWA) is pleased to announce Tobesofkee Crossing, a fifteen (15) acre development that will be the home of a new shopping center anchored by Publix Super Markets at the northeast corner of Thomaston Road and Tucker Road in Macon, Georgia. The 68,000 square foot Tobesofkee Crossing shopping venue includes Publix in over 48,000 square feet plus additional retail space of about 20,000 square feet. Sites for two free standing buildings along Thomaston Road are also available for development. Construction of Tobesofkee Crossing is set to commence in the second quarter of 2019, with a targeted opening date in the second quarter of 2020.

Publix, the largest employee owned company in the country, operates over 1,213 stores across the Southeast and will employ approximately 120 to 150 people. “Publix is proud to continue to grow with the Macon area,” said Brenda Reid, media and community relations manager for Publix. “This new location will give us an opportunity to offer our unique shopping experience to new and existing customers,” said Reid.

The Tobesofkee [to-bə-SAF-ki] community of Macon is anchored by Lake Tobesofkee, a year-round recreation area covering nearly 1,800 acres and home to pristine waterfront homes and neighborhoods. This development will serve as the gateway to this community. The location benefits from close proximity to I-475, as well as the convenience for customers traveling west bound on Thomaston Road (Hwy 74).
