HUNTSVILLE, AL | March 18, 2025 – Defense and aerospace contractor Peraton cut the ribbon Tuesday on a new 27,000-square-foot facility in the Redstone Gateway.

Peraton serves multiple federal customers, including the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center, US Army, FBI, Missile Defense Agency, and NASA.

The building includes more than 12,000 square feet dedicated to a Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility, the company announced.

The facility is part of Peraton’s ongoing expansion, with the firm seeking to add to its current workforce of 200 employees in the Huntsville-Madison County area.

MONTGOMERY, AL | January 31, 2025 – Diageo has announced plans to build a $412 million beverage distribution plant in Montgomery.

The London-based company, whose brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal and Smirnoff, will build a 360,000-square-foot facility on a CSX Select Site, according to an announcement Thursday.

“As an industry giant with operations that span the globe, Diageo represents an impressive addition to Alabama’s business community,” said Ellen McNair, secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce. “The company’s decision to establish this production facility in Montgomery signals its confidence in Alabama as a prime location to help accelerate its growth plans.”

Though the announcement didn’t specify a location, it said the plant will be “located within a thriving beverage production and distribution hub in Montgomery.”

HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  December 12, 2024 – QinetiQ, a leading defense and national security company, has officially launched operations in the Rocket City.

The move to Redstone Gateway will help to enhance the company’s ability to support critical programs including the recently awarded the Army Aerial Target Systems 3 (ATS-3) contract, which supports the Army’s Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO) at Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal. QinetiQ won the $95 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in October.

Before joining JWA, William gained valuable experience as a Market Associate in the Fort Worth Industrial Division at Holt Lunsford Commercial, where he was responsible for leasing over 1.6 million square feet of industrial space.
