HUNTSVILLE, AL  |  November 1, 2023 – Much to the excitement of North Alabama workers and traveling employees alike, the completion of a new addition to the ever expanding Redstone Gateway, a joint venture between COPT Defense Properties and Jim Wilson & Associates LLC, was just announced yesterday.

The 150-room Fairfield by Marriott plans to open tomorrow, November 2, 2023, with an elevated design that provides guests with a feeling of warmth and calm while traveling. Located at 1700 Rideout Road, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Redstone Gateway will operate as a Marriott franchise, managed by Yedla Management Company.

Yedla, based in Huntsville, AL, operates more than 20 hotel projects in the southeast along with other additional projects opening in the next 24 months.

The team at the property is led by General Manager Randy Shoe, who has over 25 years of hospitality management experience. For group sales expertise, Ashley Elias brings an extensive knowledge of all things Huntsville.

Located moments from Redstone Gateway, Cummings Research Park and the Orion Amphitheater, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Redstone Gateway delivers both function and comfort.  This new locations leans on the brand’s new contemporary look and feel.

“The décor is warm, timeless, forward-thinking, and inviting with simple nods back to the brand’s heritage. Specific elements meant to evoke feelings from the Fairfield Farm include a farmhouse table in the lobby for gathering and connecting, photography from the Fairfield Farm serving as artwork in the lobby and guest rooms, natural materials and unique textures featured throughout, and a history wall in every property showcasing the brand’s roots,” said a representative from Marriott.

The room was designed with the modern traveler’s needs to stay productive on the road in mind without overcomplicating the guestroom. The artwork in the room takes center stage with the window treatment acting as a focal point, displaying photography taken at the Fairfield Farm. The material is sheer and allows light to pass through the photography, warming up the room and creating a comfortable environment. The guestrooms also feature an ergonomic workstation, mini refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave.

Additional hotel amenities include a swimming pool, a fitness center, and complimentary Wi-FI. The complimentary hot breakfast will include oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles and other healthy items, such as fruit, yogurt, and whole grain cereals and breads.
