MACON, GA | MAR 19, 2008–Shoppers, community leaders and retail industry executives Wednesday gathered on the village green at The Shoppes at River Crossing to celebrate the grand opening of Georgia’s newest shopping and entertainment center, including several stores and restaurants new to the Macon market. A joint venture by General Growth Properties, Inc. (NYSE: GGP) and Jim Wilson and Associates, LLC, The Shoppes at River Crossing has 750,000 square feet of stores and restaurants, anchored by Dillard’s, Belk and Barnes & Noble. The Shoppes are at the intersection of Interstate 75 and Riverside Drive/U.S. 23, northwest of the center of Macon.

MONTGOMERY, AL | MAR 11, 2008–Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC developers of the Carriage Crossing MarketPlace in Collierville announce that the center will open March 12 with retailers Dress Barn, Justice, Maurice’s, Rue 21, S & K Menswear and Shoe Carnival. Opening March 13 will be Factory Card, with the remaining retailers scheduled to open by the end of March, with the exception of GameStop, Old Navy and Ross, who will debut in April.

MONTGOMERY, AL | MAR 6, 2008–Mimis Café, an upscale family dining restaurant, has selected the EastChase development as the location for their first Alabama restaurant. The 6,800 square foot eatery is scheduled to open in mid-November at the entrance to EastChase adjacent to Rooms To Go.

MACON, GA | FEB 12, 2008–Representatives for many of the retailers and restaurants located at The Shoppes at River Crossing will be accepting applications and conducting interviews at a job fair sponsored by General Growth Properties, Inc. and Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC, developers of the open-air center. The job fair is scheduled for February 28 at the Mabel White Baptist Church, 1415 Bass Road, off I-75 at exit 172 and the hours are 3:00–8:00 p.m. The Shoppes at River Crossing Job Fair will be conducted to assist the center’s retailers in providing qualified applicants for employment in a variety of positions including management, retail and restaurant services. Job seekers are encouraged to bring a resume and photo identification. MACON, GA | JAN 15, 2008–The Shoppes at River Crossing–a 750,000-square-foot regional shopping and entertainment destination, anchored by Dillard’s and Belk–today announced 14 new names to its stellar line-up of retailers. First-to-themarket retailers joining River Crossing include Strasburg Children, Portrait Innovations and The Sleep Number® store. The open-air center, a joint-venture project between Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC (JWA) and General Growth Properties, Inc. (NYSE: GGP) is set to open March 19.

MONTGOMERY, AL | DEC 18, 2007–The Montgomery County Board of Education has approved the construction of a new elementary school within the New Park residential community. The James W. Wilson, Jr. Elementary School will be built on land donated by the Wilson family, developers of New Park. Approximately 15 acres between New Park Boulevard and Wilson Park Drive have been designated as land for the school site which is scheduled to open in August 2009. The school will be named in memory of the founder of Jim Wilson & Associates, the late Jim Wilson, Jr. New Park is a 1,400 acre development located off Ray Thorington Road. The residential community will be built in multi phases. The first phase will contain 184 single family home sites. Lots will be available for purchase in late spring 2008 and it is anticipated that the first house will be ready for occupancy by late summer of that year.

MONTGOMERY, AL | DEC 12, 2007–Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC (JWA) recently announced the appointment of Anita L. Carter to the position of Vice President of Residential Marketing and Management and named Mike Kenney to the position of project manager for New Park. Carter will be responsible for managing and marketing the company’s residential real estate development projects including New Park, a 1,400 acre residential community on Ray Thorington Road and Wynlakes, Montgomery’s premier residential development.

MONTGOMERY, AL | DEC 03, 2007—Montgomery, Ala. real estate developers Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC (JWA), and Helms Roark, Inc. (HR) announce plans to build a retail development, Gateway Towne Center on approximately 150 acres at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 and Interstate 20 in Moody, Ala. Phase I of the open-air center is anticipated to be approximately 400,000 square feet of retail but could top out at 1 million square feet, depending on demand.

SEATTLE, WA | NOV 30, 2007 – Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced it has signed a letter of intent with General Growth Properties and Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC to open a new Nordstrom store at Riverchase Galleria in Birmingham. The two-level Nordstrom will be approximately 143,000 square feet and will open in the former Macy’s location. Scheduled to open in spring, the new Nordstrom will be the retailer’s first Alabama store. They are hoping to make the store as attractive and welcoming as possible. This includes using retail streaming services to add some background music into the store for customers to enjoy as they browse.
