MONTGOMERY, AL | February 18, 2026 – Jim Wilson & Associates (JWA) proudly joined state leaders and community partners this week to celebrate the official opening of the Alabama Veterans Resource Center (AVRC), a new statewide hub dedicated to supporting Alabama’s veterans and their families.
The AVRC officially opened its doors Tuesday, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday at its new headquarters located at 102 Dexter Avenue in Montgomery, just five blocks from the state capitol.
JWA is honored to have played a role in bringing the Alabama Veterans Resource Center to life by helping secure the right real estate location for this transformative initiative. The firm also proudly celebrates the appointment of Ronnie Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of JWA, to the AVRC Board.
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, nearly 350,000 veterans call Alabama home. The AVRC was created to serve them with the goal of making Alabama the best place in the nation for veterans to live, work, and thrive.
The center is designed to connect veterans and their families with the resources, tools, and programs they have earned, from healthcare and education to housing, employment, and workforce training. By bringing together what has often been a patchwork of services, the AVRC simplifies access and removes barriers to care and opportunity.
