HUNTSVILLE, AL | March 1, 2023 – A recently formed defense and government contractor in Huntsville is relocating to the front door of Redstone Arsenal.
Axient is leasing about 30,000 square feet at Redstone Gateway, developer Corporate Office Properties Trust announced Wednesday. Axient formed in 2021 following the mergers of Huntsville companies QuantiTech and Dynamic Concepts as well as Millennium Engineering and Integration of Virginia and Systems Engineering Group of Maryland.
Axient is making the jump across Interstate 565 to its new location in the five-story 1100 Redstone Gateway facility, which has 121,000 square feet altogether. Axient currently operates on Quality Circle just south of Cummings Research Park.
“Axient provides advanced engineering services and solutions to accelerate our customer missions, while empowering and strengthening our people,” Axient CEO Randy Cash said in the announcement. “Locating to Redstone Gateway helps Axient continue to realize this vision and allows us to continue to grow and serve our customers by being closer to them and their missions. We are also looking forward to giving our current and future employees access to a modern work facility with so many amenities nearby and being a part of the Redstone Gateway community.”
Redstone Gateway is a growing office park that includes retail development and hotels just outside the main entrance to Redstone Arsenal with about 1.2 million square feet of office space inside the Army post’s gates.
“Huntsville’s growth has created new opportunities for companies like Axient to grow and expand their footprint. We are extremely excited for a company with such a great heritage to be a part of Redstone Gateway, and we look forward to their continued success,” James Lomax, COPT’s Vice President of Asset Management & Leasing, said in the announcement. Lomax is also a state legislator representing parts of Huntsville.
