President
With over thirty five years of commercial real estate experience, provides leadership and direction for Jim Wilson & Associates (JWA) for both internal and third-party interests, including shopping centers, multi-use commercial projects, industrial parks and residential development featuring both multi-family and single-family projects. This extensive background of experience begins with local involvement and extends to national recognition. Wilson is a long-tenured member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He serves as Vice Chairman of The Committee of 100, the economic development committee of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, is a Board Member of the Alabama Wildlife Federation and is a Trustee of Huntingdon College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Ronnie Brown is responsible for investment and asset management, accessing capital markets, investor relations and evaluating new business opportunities for JWA. Mr. Brown has completed capital transactions in excess of $2 billion since joining JWA, including equity raises, debt originations, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining JWA, Mr. Brown was in corporate development for The Weather Channel Companies and VP-Finance/Corporate Operations for a publicly traded internet consulting firm. Mr. Brown began his career in real estate taxation and consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Accounting from Washington & Lee University, a Master’s in Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Executive Vice President
Carl Bartlett joined Jim Wilson & Associates in 1981 and is responsible for the company’s operations and management, including asset management for retail and office projects, residential operations, accounting, marketing and human resources. Mr. Bartlett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Auburn University and a Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law.
Senior Vice President of Leasing
With more than 45 years in the shopping center industry, Woody Rush serves as Senior Vice President of Leasing for Jim Wilson & Associates. Mr. Rush oversees activity for the retail portfolio and is involved with strategic planning, deal approval and site selection. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and earned an Alabama Real Estate Broker License in 1994. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Vice President of Residential Development and Marketing
Anita Carter serves as Vice President of Residential Development and Marketing. In this position Ms. Carter is responsible for the development, sales, marketing and daily operations of the company’s residential real estate projects. Ms. Carter, is also responsible for implementing marketing strategies across the JWA portfolio. She provides support on a wide variety of services from creating brand awareness, social media management, public relations and event coordination. Ms. Carter has over 35 years of experience in the real estate industry and has managed and marketed a variety of retail, commercial and residential real estate projects throughout the Southeast. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from Auburn University Montgomery and Masters in Business Administration from Troy University. She earned an Alabama Real Estate Broker License in 2011 and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Vice President of Finance
Alan Reeves is responsible for financial planning and analysis for Jim Wilson & Associates and participates in the management operations of a number of JWA investments, most notably A&W Enterprises. Mr. Reeves joined JWA from BSR Trust where he was an Acquisitions and Development Analyst after beginning his career at TSYS (now Global Payments) in Atlanta. Mr. Reeves received both his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Masters of Business Administration from Troy University.
Vice President of Property Management
A graduate of Troy University, Alan Paquette has over 35 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry. While at JWA, he has been involved in all aspects of real estate development and management, including operations, leasing, sales and tenant construction. Designated a CSM in 1999, he is an active member of ICSC. Mr. Paquette is very involved in his community, serving on the Board of Education, the Riverchase Association Board of Directors and chairs the recently formed Healthcare Authority Board in Hoover, AL.
Vice President, Controller
Heather King serves as Vice President, Controller for JWA and oversees all financial and tax reporting matters of the company and directs the corporate accounting department. She is a graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. In 2000, she received the Certified Public Accountant designation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Construction Consultant
Jim Wilson & Associates (JWA) is pleased to be affiliated with Jack Darnall with Lemoine’s Birmingham, Alabama office (see: 1lemoine.com). Darnall, a Bachelor of Science graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology’s civil engineering program, with over forty years of construction industry experience, provides consultation and direction for JWA construction projects ranging from office and retail commercial, public sector to industrial projects.
